A decent healthcare facility is found all over the country yet Jamaica has only 1 doctor for almost 2000 of its population. So, the country has established All American Institute of Medical Sciences in 2011 after realising the need for health care professionals. Since the establishment of AAIMS, the chances of availing medical education per capita has increased.<\/p>\n<p>Based on UNESCO\u2019s Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in 2015 reports, one-third of the Jamaica women were well-educated up to tertiary level in nursing and Medicine but were said to have fled to US or Canada to practise as nurses and Doctors which curtailed 17% of Jamaica\u2019s GDP which had laid the foundation for development of health system, facilities and infrastructure in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Jamaican Government has spent 5.4% of its GDP on improving healthcare system in comprehensive levels. Having an excellent healthcare system is one of the major reasons why Jamaica has been attracting international students and tourists from all over the world. The rapid development of tourism in Jamaica after 2011 indicates that the country is providing a decent medical facility.
